These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Tatva Digital Solutions, India ("we", "us") for the Go Mysuru mobile app and its related web pages (the "App"). They are also the App's End User Licence Agreement. By tapping "I accept" or using the App you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Independent app, not official
The App is an independent visitor companion. It is not run by, endorsed by or affiliated with the Mysuru Dasara committee, the Karnataka State Government, the district administration, the police or any other authority. Announcements we relay always name and link their source. Official instructions from the police, event marshals and authorities on the ground always take priority over anything in the App.
2. Who may use the App
You must be 18 or older, or use the App with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms for you. The App asks you to confirm this before you start. A parent or guardian is responsible for a child's use of the App and for any information they enter about a child, for example on a safety tag or a missing-person report.
3. Emergencies and safety features
In an emergency call 112 (women's helpline 181, child helpline 1098) or go to the nearest police or help desk.
- The SOS screen, safety tags, family groups, missing-person alerts, volunteers, facility information and visit prompts are aids. They are not a substitute for the police, emergency services, medical help or your own care for the people with you.
- They depend on your phone, its battery and settings, the mobile network, the operating system and push services, other people and volunteers. We do not guarantee that an alert, notification or message is delivered, delivered on time or read, or that anyone responds. We do not monitor the App around the clock.
- Volunteers are independent people who offered to help. They are not our employees, agents or security staff, and we are not responsible for what they do or fail to do. We check a volunteer's identity before approval, but that is not a background check.
4. Information may be wrong or out of date
- Opening hours, entry fees, event timings, closures and announcements are relayed from the sources we name and can change at short notice.
- Crowd levels are estimates from anonymous signals, visitor reports and our own models.
- Travel times, distances, maps and facility locations and status are approximate.
- Information can be late, incomplete or wrong, especially during the festival when networks are busy. Check with the organisers or the source before you rely on it, and use your own judgement.
5. AI guide
The AI guide answers only from our checked content library and cites its sources, but its answers can still be wrong or incomplete. They are general information, not professional, medical, legal or safety advice. Check important details with the cited source or the organisers. For a medical problem or danger, call 112.
6. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from. Vendors, guides and volunteers may also use the features made for their role.
You must not: copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the App except as the law allows; scrape or bulk-download its content; interfere with its security, rate limits or other users; or use it to break the law.
7. Your account and conduct
- You sign in with Google or, on iPhone, with Apple to use the App. Keep your phone and that account secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Reports, safety tags, missing-person cases, lost-and-found reports and applications must be true and made in good faith. Do not create a tag, case or group for a person you are not responsible for.
- False reports, harassment, misuse of someone's location or contact details, spam and attempts to game crowd levels, coupons or alerts are not allowed.
- Volunteers must follow the volunteer code of conduct shown in the App (no photos of children, no sharing of personal data).
8. Content you add
Photos, ratings, comments and places you add are public and shown with your first name. You are responsible for what you post. Contributions are checked automatically, other visitors can report them, and the app team may hold or remove them.
Do not post anything that is illegal, abusive, threatening, sexual, violent, hateful, defamatory or misleading; that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights; that contains other people's personal data; close-up photos of other people, or of any child, without their (or their guardian's) consent; vehicle number plates; or spam and advertising.
You keep any rights you have in your content. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, copy, display, moderate and remove it, in order to run the App and its safety features as described in the Privacy Policy. When you delete your account, public contributions stay in the App without your name, and this licence continues for them.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, and report illegal activity to the authorities.
9. Reporting content and takedown
For content posted by visitors we act as an intermediary under section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. To report content, use Report on the item in the App or email our Grievance Officer (section 19) with a link or description of the item and why it should be removed.
- We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days.
- For a complaint that content shows a person in a sexual act or conduct, nudity or a morphed image of them, without their consent, we act to remove or disable access to it within 24 hours.
- We also act on orders from a court or an authorised government agency as the law requires.
10. Vendors, offers, coupons, guides and sponsors
Shops, offers, coupons, guides and sponsored posts are provided by third parties, who alone are responsible for their goods, services, prices, quality, licences and for honouring an offer or coupon. We do not sell anything to visitors and we are not a party to any deal you make with a vendor or guide. A "verified" or "licensed" badge means only that we checked the identity or licence they gave us; it is not an endorsement. Vendor and sponsor plans are bought on the web under separate terms; visitors never pay us.
11. Notifications and advertising
Safety alerts may be sent when they matter to you. Shop and sponsor alerts are opt-in and limited to 3 per day, 1 per hour and none between 10 pm and 8 am. The App shows banner ads from Google AdMob on some screens, never on emergency or safety screens. Ads are provided by third parties and we do not endorse the advertised products.
12. Our content and third-party services
The App, its design, text, drawings and curated content belong to us or our licensors. Place information is drawn from public sources, which are credited in the App. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors. The App uses services from Google (including Firebase, Vertex AI and AdMob) and Cloudflare, and links to third-party sites and apps such as maps, phone dialers and source websites. Their own terms apply, and we are not responsible for them.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, uninterrupted operation or freedom from errors.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or opportunity;
- we are not liable for loss caused by crowds, delays, missed events, closures, network or device failure, undelivered alerts, the acts or omissions of vendors, guides, sponsors, volunteers or other users, or by relying on information in the App;
- our total liability to you for all claims about the App is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and INR 1,000. Visitors pay us nothing.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
15. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to compensate us for claims, losses and reasonable costs caused by content you post, your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the App.
16. Changes, availability and termination
We may change, pause or stop any feature, for example after the festival or to control costs. We may update these Terms; when they change materially we raise their version and the App asks you to accept the new version before you continue. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Me → Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or the law. Sections 8 (licence for public contributions), 13, 14, 15 and 18 continue after termination.
17. Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded the App from Apple's App Store:
- these Terms are between you and us only, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App;

- questions, complaints or claims about the App go to us (section 19);
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies where it is more protective of you.
18. Governing law, jurisdiction and severability
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law, the courts at Mysuru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about the App or these Terms. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
